Favorite Seat Feature

Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - Customer Service

The “Favorite Seat” feature is designed to change the perspective of your position at the table. Since this feature does not actually remove players from their seats, the small blind, big blind, and dealer buttons remain unaffected.
You can choose your favorite seat option by going to the “Options” menu at the tables and clicking on the “My Favorite Seat” button. When a window with all the seat options appears, click on your favorite one. You can also undo your choice by clicking on your old seat. Be sure to click OK to save your settings.
This option will take effect once you enter a new table. If you are sitting at a table, and change the settings, you will not be taken to the preferred seat until you enter another table. These settings will apply to nine seat tables only.
Alternatively, you can right click on the seat you wish to use. When a new window appears, select the “sit here” option.

okay, something really annoying about UB is that there is no time bank in the cash games. In your tourneys there is but not in the ring games! come on can you plz add a time bank in the cash games. You just dont get enough time to think about some situations sometimes and at most other sites there is timebanks..

I absolutely agree with you that adding a Ring Game timebank is something that would really add to our ring games. We are currently in the process of adding to this feature and many others to our software. If you would like to speak in greater detail about this feature, please send an email to suggestions@ultimatebet.com.

Time bank is a must. I dont know how many times i’ve faced a shove on the river at a turbo table, and am forced to make a bad decision. I understand that more hands means more rake, but the players deserve to have adequate time for certain decisions.

    1) Auto-rebuy (top-off) feature. Allow people to select a specific amount that they would like to rebuy to at the table at all times. For instance, someone at $400NL would like to constantly maintain a stack size of 100 BB therefore they would like the software to automatically top them off to $400 at any point in time that they go below $400.

    2) Fix the time bank issue. Some time banks are normal tables are acting as turbo timers. The time banks on normal tables are lasting the same amount of length as turbo tables. This may be due to the fact that the same table name is used for multiple tables and the software is confusing which table is turbo and which is normal.

    3) Improve the waiting list:

    * Separate the waiting list by number of players ( add check list options for 1on1/6max/9 or All)
    * Separate the wait list by turbo/non-turbo/all tables ( add check list options for turbo/non or All)
    * Separate the wait list by BBJ/non-BBJ/All ( add check list for BBJ and non-BBJ or All tables)

    4) Fix current re-buy issues. You’ll rebuy for a certain amount, finish the hand, and no money will be added to the table since you were in the current hand. This could be resolved if you implemented the “auto” rebuy/top-off option.

    5) Improve the player notes. Make the notes more visible, they currently blend in with the software. Allow a feature which makes the note pop up when you place your mouse over it. Make the fact that you have a note on a certain player more noticeable as well as more dynamic (i.e. more obvious graphic as well as dynamic colors).

    6) Fix the lag experience in-game. Sometimes the “auto” action buttons require multiple clicks and there is lag when making certain actions/clicks in general. For instance, a player will click “Check/Fold” but the system will not register their action and then still pop up the options to check/raise/fold etc.

    7) Lobby lag/refresh lag. The current lobby does not always reflect the actual table statistics. When clicking “Refresh” in the lobby, the tables sometimes do not auto update and even upon clicking “refresh” the tables do not properly refresh to show current players/stats.

    8) Please add a time bank to specific games. Allow players to get an additional 15 seconds to make decisions in “Normal” ring games as well as tournaments and SNGs. This will give players more time to think during important decisions. Possibly limit the number of times a player can use their time bank in a given hour.

    9) Add commas to stack sizes. This a problem specifically on tournament tables. Stacks such as 10355333 are tough to read and commas would make this easier on the eyes

Thank you very much for your post. You are absolutely right on every point. Recently we started a massive project that we are calling the Cardroom Clean Up. This project is intended to standardize our product with the rest of the industry, in many areas. I am happy to say that every single one of these features is on this list. While I am not able to say in detail when all of these features are coming, I have set a deadline for our development team of 3 months. We are constantly making changes to our software, however I promise that over the coming months you will see serious improvements to our software.

  6. Mr_N1ce Says:

I totally agree, Auto-rebuy and Time Bank would be great features which are already implemented at many other sites.
I would like to add 2 more requests:

    1) Please improve the filter function. I would like to see only tables from the specific Limit / Game style I’d like to play. the existing Filters are not precise enough and show too many limits.

    2) reduce the Popup-Windows: Every time I want to enter the waiting list I’m getting asked if I REALLY want to enter this list. Every time the table opens it asks me if I’m REALLY aware that there is no time-bank, deconnection, turbo etc. When I close the table I’m even asked two times: Do You REALLY wanna close the table and congratulation you earned XY Raise Points… With exeption of the one closing question I’d like to see none of these questions. A checkbox “never show this message again” would be great

  7. Mr_N1ce Says:

    3) allow to reset standards for buy in: It would be nice if my preferred buy in amount would be adjustable. I am always buyi in with the same amount so why cant I save that somewhere?

  8. zzxyzx Says:

Why is it that the main lobby screen is so small and can not be maximized to fill the entire screen? Also, it would be nice if there were an option to choose between few different looking decks.
