Here are the Keys

Friday, October 9, 2009 - Gene Bromberg

It’s not a news flash that you can’t drive to Aruba. Maybe if you lived in Venezuela and built a really big ramp…but that wouldn’t count as “driving”, would it? Still, the ten players who took to the table in our big Walk Away with a Mercedes event didn’t seem to mind that even after winning some work would be required before the vehicle sat in their driveway.

After a back-and-forth battle it came down to Elliott Smith, P0ker H0, and Ryan Caldwell. Smith had the vast majority of the chips in play and after a brief discussion the three players agreed to a deal. H0 gets to drive the car on Mondays, Ryan gets it alternate Saturdays, and…

And that’s a really bad joke. No, the three gentlemen came to a gentleman’s agreement on how the booty would be split and that was the end of the event. But it’s Smith who’s get the keys to the car…at least metaphorically. Becuase not even Mercedes makes an aqua-car. Not yet, anyway.
