This week saw the 2009 WSOP kick off Vegas with numerous events and the ever popular Ante up for Africa tournament. This year, leading his legions across Sin City, Emperor Phil Hellmuth will make his way to the Main Event in early July. If you think you’re skilled enough to take down gladiators, join him by securing your seat in the world’s most prestigious poker tournament through one of three easy methods:
1. STEP Tournament – Enter a World Series of Poker* STEP tourney for as little as 10 cents. Yeah that’s right. One dime. And if you’re one of the first 10 players to win your Main Event seat by starting at STEP 1, we’ll give you an $8,500 Aruba Poker Classic prize package. The Card Room would like to announce the release of Ring games with antes. Antes in ring games add another dimension to an already exciting lineup of games offered by Ultimate Bet. Ring games with antes are very much like normal ring games except that each player must ante up a certain amount such as $0.25 on our $1/$2 NL ante tables. The game proceeds as normal once the antes and blinds have been posted. It is popular amongst the pros and you can find out yourself just by looking in the list of tables with the name “ante” listed with the stakes. Let us know what you think or reply back if you have any suggestions on the ante tables.
