Finally, everyone! This is the last call and it´s time for us all to grab our UB luggage and run to Vegas. Sin City won´t wait for any of us, so I´ve heard! The real action is about to begin and I am expecting to see all of you around.
I´m going to Vegas in a few days and all I can hear right now is a loudly ka-chin´ bouncing in my head. Fortunately, I had the chance to talk to some of you and share how thrilled we feel about all the cool stuff that is going on and about the whole WSOP 2009 experience.
I got to be totally honest here; I never realized how huge these kinds of events were until now! Everything makes sense, from singers to actors, everyone has something do to with Vegas these days, quite a way to be part of the flow…have you noticed all the poker related songs we have been hearing lately? How about the movies? Honestly…this is beyond my expectations! I confess myself a travelling-lover. I´ve always thought travelling and going around the world is the finest source of learning you can ask for. Nothing like catching that plane and fly directly where the fun is. This will be my first time in Vegas, but based on what I´ve heard…this will not be my last one.
Little Paris…little Venice…top clubs, best entertainment available in the world, the finest restaurants ever, hundreds of the most famous shows in history…all gather in one of the most luscious cities in the entire world! I think no one will ever decline such an invitation…
I mean it when I say this, it will be a pleasure to get to meet all our players, there is no doubt you guys represent our real foundations. We are planning to show the poker community what UNION stands for. We know we are backed up by the most loyal and skillful poker team…Ultimate Bet players will definitely shake that rug and brag about how strong our community is!
As you probably noticed from above, my name is David. I will be in Vegas this Sunday: ready for the action. I really hope we will have the best time ever this year. This year you can count on the VIP Team live in Vegas, so just get in touch with us and we will strive to do the best at our end. There´s no excuse to stay home…spotting the BEST poker and a top city in the same landmark it´s not as common as we all would like it to be. Thinking about the cultures? Food? UB is turning 10th years old this year…and this has to be a blast. I will also be around at our Main Party at Studio 54 and hopefully we will have the chance to have a few drinks and party like Vegas Rock-Stars.

Cameras are ready and lights are on. Sin City has been invaded in the last few days by legions thirsty of Poker. More than a dozen bracelets have been already claimed as the party starts getting bigger, but everyone is looking for the maximum expression of glory a poker player can ever imagine. Yes, you know what I´m talking about! The No Limit Holdem Main Event!
Everything points to believe this year we will see the largest field in history, exceeding the 2006 record of more than 8,000 players. I just can imagine myself in there, sitting at the T.V. feature table, pro´s at both sides. Suddenly the eyes of the crowd turn towards one of the entrances and a big guy with a bunch of girls is causing comments all around! There he is… it´s Phil! Some people love him, some people hate him, but we all know he is a great player.
Maybe he is not the most modest! maybe, let´s face it, who would be with 11 bracelets? I´m sure I wouldn´t! Anyway, there he comes, turning heads all over the Rio, whaaaat? he takes the sit next to me!!!
How can you play optimally when faced to such situation? I mean, think about being first timer, TV table, pro´s and if it wasn´t enough to make you nervous, Phil is next to you! It´s time to wake up, no aces cracked, how come I wasn´t able to bluff Phil? I´m mad I couldn´t continue sleeping to see what´s next on my dream, haha. Not that bad for a night.
By the way, if it´s among your plans to conquer a final table this November, don´t forget about our $10,000,000 bonus promotion, it´s not a mistake, there are 7 zeros in that number!

Hi All,
I am sitting here and it feels like the calm before the storm. Easter is fast approaching and this will be my last bit of time off before all the madness really kicks in. And the only reason it will be time off…is that where I am going there is no internet connections. Well there is dial up, but we all know how passe that is:) I am off to spend 4 days over easter on the island of San Andreas, Colombia. The email situation shouldn’t really be that bad as everyone else will be enjoying easter too.
After easter I am off to Vegas and I cannot wait. It really has been too long. I am heading over to finalize our plans for the WSOP. In addition due to good timing, I will be present for the start of the WPT 25K Championship Event at Bellagio. UB did something interesting for this event and ran satellites for the land based satellites into the big 1. That almost sounds like the most perfect excuse for a long weekend in Sin City. It will be interesting to see what the final numbers will be for this event?
I was just checking out the results for the Five Star World Poker Classic and one thing that really surprised me is that in the 5K event, there was only 27 players. This truly surprises me for Vegas. Does this mean that the “Economic Crisis” is effecting our Poker World? I see that they only cracked 100+ players in the first 2 events, this effect may also be caused by the fact that the Foxwoods Poker Classic is still running? For prizepool sakes, let’s hope the numbers pick up.
Ok, can’t wait till next week when I will be coming to you, from Las Vegas.
